Want more stability?
Dentures can be supported and retained in place by dental implants. Ask us about Snap-On Implant Dentures and Full Arch (All-On-4) Implants for more permanent, amazing solutions to replace your missing teeth.
The gold standard in tooth replacement is to anchor teeth using dental implants. They feel and function just like your own teeth. However, we understand that budget can be a major deciding factor when determining how to resolve missing teeth.

Questions Our Patients Ask
Q: Will dentures look like real teeth?
A: Yes. Modern dentures are designed to look natural and fit comfortably, so most people will not be able to tell you are wearing them. At Cleveland Smile Center, we carefully match the shape, size, and shade of your dentures to your face, gums, and smile goals.
Whether you need full dentures, partial dentures, or are replacing an older set of dentures, our team will help create a smile that looks natural and feels right for you.
Q: How long does it take to get used to wearing dentures?
A: It is normal to need an adjustment period when you first start wearing dentures. For many patients, it takes a few weeks for the mouth, cheeks, and tongue to get used to the new fit.
Eating and speaking may feel different at first, but this usually improves with practice. Starting with soft foods, reading out loud, and wearing your dentures as instructed can help you adjust more comfortably.
Q: Can I eat normally with dentures?
A: Yes, most patients can enjoy many of their favorite foods with dentures once they adjust. In the beginning, it is best to start with soft foods cut into smaller pieces. As you become more comfortable, you can slowly return to a more normal diet.
Very hard, sticky, or chewy foods may still be difficult with traditional dentures. If you want more chewing stability, Cleveland Smile Center can talk with you about options such as implant-supported dentures.
Q: What should I do if my dentures feel loose?
A: If your dentures feel loose, uncomfortable, or start to rub against your gums, schedule a visit with your dentist. Dentures can loosen over time because your gums and jawbone naturally change shape after tooth loss.
Our team can check the fit and recommend the right solution, which may include a denture adjustment, denture reline, or replacement dentures if your current set is worn or no longer fits properly. Dentures should not cause ongoing pain, sores, or difficulty eating.
Q: How do I take care of dentures?
A: Proper denture care helps your dentures last longer and keeps your mouth healthier. Brush your dentures daily with a soft denture brush and denture cleaner. Remove them at night and soak them as directed so they keep their shape.
You should also continue regular dental checkups, even if you no longer have natural teeth. Your dentist will check the fit of your dentures, examine your gums, screen for oral health concerns, and make sure your mouth stays healthy.

Questions Our Patients Ask
How long does it take to get used to wearing dentures?
Most patients need about 4-6 weeks to fully adjust to their new dentures. During this adjustment period, it’s normal to experience increased saliva production, minor soreness, and some difficulty speaking or eating. Start with soft foods and practice speaking by reading aloud at home. Your mouth muscles will gradually adapt. Over time, the dentures will begin to feel more natural. It is important to know that if discomfort persists beyond a few weeks, you should contact our office for an adjustment appointment.
What’s the difference between full dentures and partial dentures?
Full dentures replace the teeth on either the upper or lower jaw (or both). This approach is used when all of your teeth are missing or unhealthy. Partial dentures are used when you still have some healthy natural teeth remaining. They fill in the gaps left by missing teeth and are held in place by clasps that attach to your existing teeth. We offer flexible partial dentures that provide a comfortable, natural-looking option for patients who need partial tooth replacement.
How do I care for my dentures to make them last?
Proper denture care involves removing and rinsing them after eating, brushing them daily with a soft-bristled brush and denture cleaner (not regular toothpaste). In addition, denture hygiene includes soaking them overnight in a denture solution. Always handle dentures carefully over a towel or sink filled with water to avoid breakage if dropped. Continue to brush your gums, tongue, and any remaining natural teeth daily.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
Yes. Part of the reason to get dentures is to restore dental function. However, it will take a bit of practice to get used to them. Start with soft, easy-to-chew foods cut into small pieces, and gradually introduce other foods as you become more comfortable. Chew slowly using both sides of your mouth to keep the dentures stable. Initially, it is a good idea to avoid very hard, sticky, or tough foods. If you want enhanced stability and chewing power, ask us about snap-on implant dentures or All-On-4 full mouth implants, which function much more like natural teeth.
How much do dentures cost and do you offer payment plans?
At Cleveland Smile Center, we strive to provide affordable denture solutions tailored to your budget and needs. The cost varies depending on whether you need full or partial dentures and the level of customization you choose. We offer various denture options at different price points, from traditional dentures to more advanced implant-supported solutions. You can find pricing information on each of the service pages.
